American artist THRoberts’ original artworks have been difficult to obtain.  The original works are unique and part of the artist, capturing a distinct moment in time and a never to be repeated expression by THRoberts.  The original works are unique creations representing the artist’s singular vision and style with colors and brush strokes that will never be repeated.  The pieces mark the life path of the artist, conveying expression, reflections, emotions and the vision of THRoberts. THRoberts often jokes that his art is “therapy” and that he must need a lot of therapy.  An artist like THRoberts does not depend upon producing commercial works for sale but savors the creative expression. Some of the pieces capture cultural, social and historical significant context when they were created, leaving a legacy beyond the mortal years of the artist.  The original artworks evoke emotions and provoke thought in ways that mass-produced objects cannot, filled with unique textures, strokes, colors and details that are far richer and vibrant than reproductions, awakening a deeper visual and emotional experience. Each of the artworks chronicle THRoberts’ life, skills, training and creative efforts, which take a lifetime to create. The scarcity of original works to the public combined with interest from collectors impacts their market value. The provenance or history of ownership also impact the cost when pieces are made available.  THRoberts has donated a number of works to the public through charitable organization but most are in private collections and not in commercial galleries.
